Korea Travelogue: Day 3 Incheon to Jeonju & Becky's Art Space
Wokays so since I have time to kill I shall blog about how we travelled from Incheon to Jeonju via the express intercity bus services :)
Like I mentioned in my previous post, we bought the bus tickets the night before (cos y'know kiasu Singaporeans LOL) but the bus was very empty! Took a Samhwa bus this time round and was pleasantly surprised by how high tech the bus is.
You'll have to scan the QR code upon entering and the screen will automatically show that you've boarded the bus - super cool right LOL
Some kimbap to munch on the way to Jeonju because it was a 3 hour plus journey to Jeonju. Actually we just wanted to have Yoo Jung-sunbae la >_<
Arrived at Jeonju bus terminal at around 7pm and then bought our bus tickets for Gwangju in 2 days. Yes, we were that kiasu HAHAHAH! Flagged a cab to the Hanok Village then to our guesthouse in Jeonju - Becky's Art Space.

Discovered this guesthouse through a fellow Singaporean's blog so when the girls and I read her review we decided to give it a go and book our stay there for 2 nights in Jeonju.
The café is a quaint mini art gallery cum café that offers patrons a quiet space to chill and grab a cuppa. Location wise it is very obscure because it isn't located along the main streets of the Hanok Village so do print out the directions indicated on their website for the taxi driver to enter into his GPS! Nevertheless we liked that it was near most of the main attractions so it isn't hard to navigate around the village once you've confirmed all the necessary touristy spots to visit. Ok, so let's take a look at the room we picked!
We selected Room 7 because it was one of the few rooms that could fit more people plus I was honestly damn curious about that sink in the middle of the room LOL. Becky has a total of 9 rooms available so you can check them out on the website to select which rooms you want to reserve. They will offer you a free drink for each day you're staying at the guesthouse so we received 6 drink coupons from them upon check-in which I thought was a very nice gesture :)
The room has an en-suite toilet although hot water runs out very quickly so.... don't take long showers please haha! Air conditioning is also available in the room but it wasn't as strong as what we're used to here in Singapore so room was pretty warm at night.
Yes the tap really works HAHAHAHAHA!
Headed out in search of food. Wanted to have traditional Jeonju bibimbap but the restaurant was closed by the time we arrived so we went off to where the lights were the brightest to find food. It was pretty late by then so we settled for Mr Pizza instead just to tick it off our 'must eat' list.
Stores were all closed by then around 10pm so we went back to our guesthouse and settle in for the night.
Paid the nearby convenience store a visit and found this cute LINE Friends collaboration. OMG TAKE ALL MY MONEYYYYYYY T____T
Mistook this for Jeonju makkeolli because the area is after all famous for their rice wine but nope, bought the wrong things and this thing is just NASTY. Nasty with a vengeance UGH!
It's supposedly a rice wine infused with traditional medicine and the smell was so revolting! Needless to say we didn't finish this haha. Posting this just to warn everyone that nope, this is so not makkeolli so don't waste your money ok.
Alrights and that is it for our first night in Jeonju. We spent the entire following day exploring the Hanok Village and its nearby vicinity. Stay tuned for that if you want to know more about the places you can visit there :)
