Draft Land SG
One of my favourite hobbies is exploring new drinking holes in Singapore even if it’s super expensive to drink in Singapore so when my ex-colleague/friend suggested visiting Draft Land SG to catch up over dinner and drinks, I immediately agreed to it after reading up on their concept. Originating from Taiwan, Draft Land SG has several cocktails on tap where customers can order the cocktails and have them dispensed out directly from the wall taps found.
Draft Land SG also serves several bar bites, mainly inspired from Taiwanese street food and I managed to try a few of them whilst sipping on my cocktails 🍹 and chatting with my friend. We managed to arrive whilst Happy Hour (from open till 7pm daily) 🥳🥳 was still available so our first couple of drinks were priced below $20 each which is pretty decent considering that Draft Land SG does not have any service charges and you just had to pay for GST on top of the food and drinks’ prices.
I tried 3 food items that night from their food menu
Fried Oysters 🦪 $15
Fermented Pork Ribs 🍖 $14 (HH) $16
Fried Chicken 🍗 $10 (HH) $12
All 3 food items were devoured very quickly because we were too hungry! 😆 They were very yummy as well btw - oysters did not have the briny smell, soft and flavourful. While the pork ribs were a tad too difficult to chomp on with a fork (I resorted to using my hands in the end lol), they were super yums as was the fried chicken with the chunky chicken meat 😋
And then onto the main highlight of Draft Land SG - the cocktails on tap 🍹
I managed to try 3 different cocktails that night (although I forgot to take a picture of one of them wtf)
🍸 Oolong Tea Collins $15 (HH) $18 (pictured left) was amazingly light and refreshing! I’m a fan of oolong tea in general and it blended very nicely with the osmanthus and plum in the concoction. Hands down something I would order the next I’m at Draft Land ✨
🍸Yuzu Whisky Sour $20 (not pictured) was not very strong from what I remember. As a huge fan of yuzu, I was slightly disappointed to not taste the yuzu notes and the drink was primarily more sour than citrusy. Even though it was one of the stronger drinks I had that night (17% alcohol content), I still managed to down it quite easily because the sour taste masked the whisky notes.
🍸Lychee Clobber $15 (HH) $18 (pictured right) was also one of my favourite cocktails tasted that night at Draft Land SG. With a mixture of gin, wine and tequila, this drink was light as expected and sweet due to the lychee 🤩
Overall, I would totally recommend Draft Land SG if you are a fan of cocktails and looking for decently priced ones in Singapore. Of course if time permits, do visit them during Happy Hour to sample and savour the various cocktails they have to offer 🤭
